Cori Vokoun is from Lincoln, Nebraska, where her family is in the commercial construction business. She and her family have owned and shown horses for over 25 years, under the ranch name, Buckshot Farms. Cori has had show ring achievements in a variety of disciplines in the Arabian show world, with the majority of those in reining. Highlights of her career include wins in both open and amateur reining at the US Nationals, as well as recognition as a top breeder of Arabian reining horses by the AH Times. She has been nominated many times by the APAHA for working western amateur of the year. Cori has also been a formidable competitor in NRHA competition aboard a select group of quarter horses. She has been a non-pro finalist at both the NRHA Futurity and NRHA Derby.
Cori is married to Dan Vokoun, and they have a son and daughter, Alex and Reagan. The entire family shows horses and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities together including team sports, hunting, camping, boating, raising cattle, and the love of a pack of Australian Shepherds.
